Member News

Here are some wonderful pieces of news from CT IWWG members that I discovered in the most recent issue of Network:

New IWWG member Sherie Labedis from Roseville has a story, A Line in the Sand, in Chicken Soup for the African American Woman's Soul.

Mary Carroll Moore's new short story Luna was just published in Quay: A Journal of the Arts (Winter '08). It can also be read online at www.quayjournal.org

And...Susanne Davis of Storrs writes about a writers' gathering she held at her home in January:

"We had a wonderful gathering in January. There were about 15 of us, with five others who want to be included in the future. I provided snacks, drinks and some social time before we set up in a circle and followed the structure the Guild suggest for a zip code party. Lots of laughter and chatting. These women writers expressed much interest in kitchen clusters and we decided that we will need two for the size of this group. I would still like to gather the smaller groups as one group every few months for a larger community of support and encouragement. My email is sdavisstorrs@sbcglobal.net, should others wish to contact me."
